This fun family session took place in October when we were enjoying beautiful Fall weather and the colours on the trees were just changing. I was so happy to capture Jacqui’s family with some people read leaves behind them. Their daughter had fun walking around the park and getting tossed in the air by dad – isn’t that what dad’s are the best for?!! I know my kids love when my husband throws them in the air… I have to admit I’m too weak to throw them up LOL!

Taking family portraits in the park allows families the freedom to move around, get their silly’s out and get a variety of backdrops that can add interest to a portfolio.

Family portraits are encouraged to take place early in the morning or two hours before sunset to ensure the best light for your photographs. Beautiful portraits take some preparations and this may include advice on what type of clothing photographs well (for example neon is usually a big no-no as it doesn’t print very well).
