I was so thrilled to announce my first event – the Garden Tea Party!  I can’t take the credit for the idea as I’ve seen some photographers lately do their take on the concept in the U.S.A.  and I got the final push to go for it from a friend  ….that being said I like to think I created my own little spin on it.  My friend Lynsey had started making tutu’s for her daughter and so the concept became let’s make custom tutu’s for little girls and photograph them at their very own tea party.

At the last minute two girls had to back out, but the remaining 3 girls and 2 boys that wanted to participate I think had a great time!  We started off with 7 year old Aryanna and her little brother, 5 year old Quinn.  They were pretty funny together full of silly faces and that typical brother/sister relationship of love and kind of dislike! Ha!  That being said, they were troopers and despite the heat and the sun they played tea party and showed me a couple of their dance moves.

Next we had little Parker {7 months old} and his big sister Lily who was 31 months.  With friend Blair { 23 months – and Lynsey’s daughter} on board it was a mix between chaos and total excitement.  There were cupcakes to touch, cakes to smash and dollies to feed.  The girls did great and we got some big smiles from little Parker.

The event turned out to be a total success.  Next year I’ll definitely have it in total shade as that made it kind of hot but lucky us we were near some great big trees.  The spot near the water in Stewart Park was just beautiful.

I can’t wait to throw the event again next year and hopefully have more little girls wanting to play pretend..and more brothers being dragged into it! lol

I hope everyone enjoys the sneak peeks.

P.S. A big thanks to Kathy for the cupcakes and cake and to Baby Kisses Home Decor and Gifts and Starlit Nest Gifts & Photo Props for the banners used.

Love Always,

Jen
