When Cathy contacted me about doing headshots for her new blog website I have to be honest, I was a little hesitant because this year I said I wasn’t going to offer headshots anymore. It’s not that I don’t like shooting them, it’s just that I LOVE photographing newborns and families so much more that I decided to not put an emphasis on anything else except those two. In the future I will be focusing even more on newborns and children as that is the direction I would like to take my business so headshots will be a thing of the past. BUT that being said, Cathy was a great client (newborn Alex!) and I was intrigued by doing headshots for a blog website rather than a corporate one. I did a bit of research to see what most bloggers headshots looked like and saw that they were relatively casual shots. So I thought, why not?! Let’s go for it. I added my own unique spin to it with one of our set ups and she ended up loving it! So here are some examples from her shoot 🙂
