We had a blast photographing Julie and Jeff’s Wedding this past October. Besides being two of the coolest people we know, they are also family and so we couldn’t wait to welcome Jeff officially into the Horne clan! They had a beautiful outdoor wedding in the backyard of Julie’s parents house full of love and commitment. Families sat on bales of hay and were front row to seeing the wedding party come in on a horse drawn float. They had refreshments in the Barn that once held Julie’s sister Jen’s wedding reception and her brother Matt’s wedding ceremony. So this property is beloved by this family to say the least. While the guests mingled in the Barn, Blaine and I were able to ride off with Julie and Jeff on their trails to get some gorgeous shots of the newlyweds.
East coast flair was present throughout the night in the merriment of the guests as Jeff and his family are from Newfoundland so when the mummers showed up during the reception at Farrell Hall we were all in for a rare treat! It was beyond amazing as guest wearing costumes came into the hall with a fiddler playing so you had no idea who was who, although I believe some of Julie’s crazy aunts and uncles were a part of the festivities.
We danced, we partied and we had a great time until it was time for me to leave with my kids to get them home, while Blaine continued the merriment back at the farm with the others 😉 I believe some jigging and drinks may have been involved 🙂
It was fantastic to see Julie and Jeff come together with East coast family present and friends and family from Alberta where Julie and Jeff live now. Thank you Julie for asking us to be a part of your day as photographers and guests – it was our pleasure and honour!
