Ariana came into the studio when she was 16 days old with her big sister and parents. I was so happy to meet the newest addition to this family after photographing big sister just a few years ago. Dad wanted to bring his Firefighter gear in again, and this time we changed it up with a dark background which I just love. They also brought in a special handcrafted firefighter outfit for Ariana to wear and a hose to sit her on. It was super cute!
We used a cream, white, blue and grey colour palette for Ariana’s individual baby portraits and she slept like a dream through it all.
Take a look at some of their favourites from our time together!
To start look how adorable Ariana looks in this blue wrap with adorable little bow headband!
We took these newborn portraits right around Hallowe’en so I was able to use this cute little grey pumpkin and halo headband set from one of my favourite vendors Little Bird Photography Props! She makes the best stuff! And it was easy to pair it with this grey wrap on the white blanket. This pose is called the Huck Finn pose.
Another great halo headband with all of those pretty little details from Little Bird Photography Props paired with this cream ruffle wrap. All part of the Jennifer Willard Photography Prop Collection and available if cream is part of your chosen colour palette.
This is the portrait I was speaking about before where Ariana’s family brought in this special outfit and Firefighter hose. So cute and the family was really happy that we were able to try to get this shot for them and it was successful despite her being awake.
This next portrait is one of my favourite Father and baby portraits I’ve taken. Dad brought in his freshly cleaned firefighter outfit to hold Ariana and create this stunning work of Art. This portraits needs to be framed big on the wall showing Daddy’s a hero but also gentle.
Big sister loved her new little sister. I know they will be the best of friends! When photographing little ones with their new baby sisters or brothers we need to think about their age and what they can handle. Big sister was still too little to hold onto her baby sister so putting Ariana in a basket helps put her close enough for getting those lovely sister connection portraits without jeopardizing safety, and with a parent as a spotter just out of the shot we can assure that we create a beautiful portrait that the whole family will love.
Portraits on grey backdrop with Mom helped them to stand out and capture that connection with her new daughter.
Mom and Dad loved this portrait they will share with Ariana one day. This will be the type of photographic memory that she will cherish when she is older.
Such a sweet portrait of Dad holding onto his baby girl.
Kisses!!
Last share of this sweet family! It was so great to have them travel from a great distance to see me again. I was so honoured to create these family portraits for them!
