Little Victor wasn’t too sure about me or my lights but he warmed up after a bit. You never know how little ones will be when they meet someone new – but I love meeting them just the same!

Celebrating a Baby’s First Christmas Milestone is such an exciting time for each family I speak to! Although the kids usually like the wrapping paper more than their presents hahaha! I was very fortunate to have a few children come to the Holiday Mini Sessions this year to celebrate their first Christmas’s and it was a joy to see each budding personality!
Thinking about booking a milestone portrait session for your baby’s first year milestones? They are always a lot of fun to photograph and plan for me. I love incorporating the colours that you love and making the focus be on your baby’s quick grins and personality, whether that’s a serious one or a goofy one! Baby’s first year milestones start with the all important newborn photography session at the Kingston Ontario studio just minutes from the Cataraqui centre and we continue on with other milestones during your baby’s first year of life. Usually I recommend milestone portrait sessions to happen at pivotal moments in the first year like when baby can lift up their head when they are on their belly (3-4 months old), can sit unassisted for a short time (closer to 7 months old), can be on all fours and crawl (around 9 months) and then the fun first year birthday portraits which can include the optional cake smash. I usually recommend the first birthday session to take place around 11 months to just before their first birthday, that way you can get their portraits back right around their birthday to share with friends and family.
