Sweet little Autumn was a joy to photograph in our studio located minutes from the 401 and Cataraqui Centre in Kingston Ontario. She was 40 days old at the time of our session which breaks the record for the oldest newborn session but she rocked it! We got both awake and asleep portraits and although it took more time then a younger newborn to fall asleep, we were able to create some gorgeous portraits for mom because she was so content! Mom’s milk definitely helped but it was a combination of all the tricks we have in the studio that let her settle into pose after pose.
She will have an incredible gallery of newborn portraits and I’m so happy her parents took a chance in contacting me about booking in their older newborn because she is still a newborn!! Yes, she was a bit more fidgety, alert and bigger but at 8 pounds you can’t tell me she is not still a newborn at 40 days old!! She was a doll and it was my honour to photograph her.
