How amazing is it to be born at the same time as your best friend? Finnick and Sullivan were such amazing twins to photograph and it was a delight to see how different they were but how much they gravitated towards each other. They started off sleeping for me all wrapped up and then switched off on who was going to be awake! We were able to create some incredible portraits to remember how little these boys were and celebrate the uniqueness of twins!
Mom asked for Grey and Navy to be the main colours used in designing the sets as that matched their nursery colours and I added in a few accent colours in the beautiful blues, sage, mint and green shades used. We were able to use the outfits I bought specifically for Finnick and Sullivan and they looked adorable in them. I wanted to use different outfits so they weren’t identical because as much as they have the twin thing going for them, they are also individuals that should be celebrated separately. So I made sure to photograph them by themselves as well so that they can cherish both types of photographs when they are older.
It really was such a joy to photograph twins again in the studio and I’m looking forward to photographing many more multiples from the Kingston area in the future.
