Lisa and Chris are one of those amazing couples that are just made for each other. Lisa is vivacious and a little firecracker (voted best smile in highschool – totally agree!) and Chris, while quieter, is just as silly, so together they seem to have fun all the time. When I met them for their engagement session (you can see it here) I knew these two were going to be fun on their Wedding day – they didn’t disappoint! It was a fantastic day and they took the rain that fell with a great non-chalant attitude.. the rain actually added a bit of romance to their day, not that they were lacking in that – these two love to snuggle close to each other:)
We started our day in Stittsville and Kanata with both parties getting ready (Lisa looked GORGEOUS!!!) and drove back to Temples in Lanark for the ceremony and reception (a perfect country venue). It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with and without umbrellas.. a bit of a scramble when the rain started to cover camera equipment, let alone the Bride and Groom, but we rocked it out…hey it’s good luck to have it rain on your wedding day anyways!
We had limited time after the family shots to get the bridal party and Bride and Groom shots but it didn’t matter, the whole group of them was full of fun ideas and the boys were certainly okay with making the girls laugh 😉
The reception was beautiful and Temples served some amazing food! Great service as well, but that’s no surprise as we’ve photographed there a number of times..what a beautiful location for a reception!
The speeches were some of the best we heard and we especially loved the one from Chris’s Grandma… it’s fun hearing stories from the past… and Father of the Bride had a pacifier speech to boot, with real props!!!!
It was a wonderful day when two young people who have been through many trials and tribulations came together to celebrate their profound love for each other… that’s what a wedding is for… celebrating love.
