Maggie and Randy are such an amazing couple and I was so happy to have been asked to photograph their beautiful sunset ceremony at Timber Run in Lanark this past Fall. The weather was gorgeous and we ended up with some spectacular shots on the golf course…. but the showstopper had to be the elegant and classic Bride. From Maggie’s out-of-a magazine wedding dress to her beautiful flowers, Maggie oozed the classic Bride persona to a T. Randy was a star too in his suit/jeans ensemble and the emotion coming from him when Maggie was coming down the aisle is something I was happy to capture and won’t forget. But the heartbreaker of the day had to be their son Weston. West was dashing in his little outfit and did so well with his darling smiles that he made all the girls soon 😉 He was right up there with daddy as mommy came down the aisle and it was the beautiful music that started choking us all up before we even saw the Bride (if you are a Twilight fan like me it was the same song that Bella went down the aisle to!!!! Talk about romantic!).
Randy and Maggie opted for a first look and all their pictures before the ceremony as they were having a sunset ceremony so the light was amazing and it was a really relaxed, not rushed at all time together (that always seems to be the case with the first look couples). We photographed the bridal party, the families, then took off on golf carts to explore the greens. It was a lot of fun finding unique locations and angles over the hills…plus Maggie’s train was the longest I had ever seen so we had some fun with that too 🙂
The decorations inside Timber Run were magical. Maggie opted to take out all of the club houses decorations and replace them with her own creations full of burlap, candles, flowers and rustic charm. It was the epitome of Country chic. The hours upon hours she put into every detail was well worth it and will be talked about for years I’m sure. I love a Bride that goes all out because it’s super fun to photograph it all! You’ll just fall over when you see the cake!
It was a really beautiful, magical day to photograph and we are so honoured they asked us to be a part of it. Maggie and Randy we wish you many, many happy years together. And we hope you make many more beautiful babies together because Weston is the bomb-diggity… did i just age myself?
