Sam and Tyler are eager with anticipation for the arrival of their first child, a beautiful little girl. They are waiting for 10 little fingers and 10 little toes to kiss and hold. They are waiting for squishy little lips and chubby little legs. They are waiting for her……she will be loved like no other little girl. She will recognize her daddy’s voice because daddy reads sweet little books to her from outside her mommy’s tummy. She will recognize her mama not because of the sound of her heartbeat which she has been memorizing for months but because she will feel that overwhelming LOVE emmanating from her mama once she is put in her arms. Her mama has been waiting for 9 months, patiently rubbing her belly but really they have both been waiting their whole lives for that one instant where they will first see the person that will irrevocably change their lives. She will be the reason they wake in the morning, the reason they go to work, the reason for anticipating the future……the reason for everything. And in return she will give them reasons to laugh and sing, cry and rejoice. She will be the only reason worth living for. She will be everything and is everything already.
When I met Sam and Tyler this past week I could tell that they were IN LOVE, as much as with each other as they will be for their daughter. Their partnership is solid as a rock and will have to be for those late night feedings! They are excited, they are nervous, they are prepared and they are eager and most importantly they are all those things together. These two were obviously made for each other. And as much as they were made for each other, their daughter will be made for them. Their daughter will have two parents that absolutely adore and love her right from the beginning. Can a child ever be as lucky as that? To have adoring parents before she is even born? She will be the center of their world….and they are ready for it!
Just a little more patience is required…..Just a little while to go until their due date in May. These two are excited and just can’t wait! And I have to say I am very excited as well!!!! I’m so excited that they have asked me to be a part of this journey with them. From these maternity shots to newborn shots I’m excited to see the transformation of these two wonderful individuals into a mommy and daddy. And to meet their sweet little girl. Here is just a small sneak into our pictures together and I’m just so happy to be a part of this exciting time in Sam and Tyler’s lives. I wish Sam a short and healthy labour and a happy, healthy baby at the end!
I saw this quote and thought it was so fitting for Sam and Tyler on this journey to becoming parents:
“A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bank balance smaller, home happier, clothes dirty, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.”
