Tammy and Will are two fantastic people who were married on July 13, 2013 in Smiths Falls, Ontario. As Tammy has a theatrical background they found it fitting to get married in a theatre and chose The Station Theatre which is the old CPR Railway Station. It is a beautiful building and perfect for their occasion 🙂 It has two rooms where actors/actresses would get ready and that’s where the boy and girl camps were. As usual when a Bride and Groom choose to get pre-ceremony (getting ready) shots Blaine heads off with the gents and I stay with the ladies…and their dressing room was super cool with the lights around the mirrors like you see in movies. I loved it!
The girls looked beautiful in black and red and you may even recognize Ashley on the end in the first picture as one of our Brides from last summer and she’s expecting!! So excited for her! You can see their amazing wedding here. Once we got Tammy in her beautiful dress we went outside and took advantage of the beautiful weather 🙂
The boys went over to the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario for some fun group shots….as I was going through the pictures my husband took I came upon some supremely funny ones which I’ve included here. I love when bridal parties have fun during pictures! It’s a serious day about serious committments but what’s stopping everyone from having fun? Nothing with us that’s for sure! I mean that is why my Brides and Grooms choose me right? Besides my editing style, my clients love that we are able to capture genuine emotional moments both tearful and happy 🙂 Those of course are my favourite ones, the ones I’m drawn to more than anything else..the ones with real smiles and real laughter and I’ll do and say just about anything to get it (be prepared future bridal parties! HAHAHAAHAAAA – that was my evil laugh, could you tell?) 😉
The amazing thing about coming so early to photograph both camps is that we were able to switch places so the boys came back to The Station to greet guests. Blaine set up a photobooth for guests to enjoy on the way in to the amazing theatre seats and the girls and I headed over to the Museum to take advantage of safe train tracks!
Tammy and Will have been together for 13 years and have two beautiful daughters together (It feels like I just photographed Chloe’s newborn pictures but it’s almost been a year!! You can check out our session here). To celebrate their wonderful relationship and the amazing children they created they made a slideshow which played before anyone came down the aisle showcasing many family moments including tons from our engagement session (you can see it here) and Chloe’s session…. I felt very honoured that so many of my images were important to them and were displayed for all to see 🙂 I believe they really wanted July 13th because that was the actual day they started dating and the funny thing was it was the date that Blaine and I started dating 11 years ago and we were celebrating right along with them 🙂 It was truly a magical moment to share in their love for each other.
After their ceremony the families and wedding party drove back to the Railway Museum and took some great family portraits, we even got wee Chloe to smile a little and big sister Clara was all smiles too (well at least most of the time ;p)…you have to remember it’s a long day for little kids and that’s why we always do the kids picture combinations first (as well as grandparents) so that they can have a break. What was truly special was that one of Will’s sons Jordan came over from the east coast to join in the celebration and it was just really nice to get an updated family picture 🙂 He was smitten with Chloe all night!
This bridal party was a fun bunch of people and they were all so nice to us! We really appreciated their coorperation as it was getting to be a hot day for sure!
We ended the night at the Legion in Smiths Falls and had a great time watching this family celebrate two people who truly love each other tie the knot. They are certainly two of my favourite clients to watch, they have this bone deep affection for each other and you can see it in every move they make. I’m going to show my geek side here but it’s like on Twilight when Bella’s mom says it’s like gravity moves and they compensate by moving with the other person…I feel like they are truly in sync and I can’t imagine that they would match with anyone else. They are truly each other’s better half and you could feel that no better time then when Will gave a heartwrencing toast to his new Bride. I had to wipe the tears and I felt incredibly happy for them both that they were able to find each other in all of the 6 Billion people on Earth…they are fated.
Thank you, thank you Tammy and Will for inviting us to be a part of your day…it really meant a lot to us both to see such love celebrated and expressed. We wish you every happiness, we wish you long happy lives with your beautiful daughters, and we wish you every dream you wish to come true. It was an honour to photograph your day.
Enjoy a small sneak peek of your day together 🙂 And for those that want to comment and tell them how wonderful their wedding day was or looks feel free to look at their sneak peeks on Facebook here.
Love Always,
Jen xoxo
