The best thing about getting your creative juices going for an upcoming Maternity session is that when the client lets you do something you haven’t done before you are able to really think outside the box. I love clients like that because they see that I have my own unique vision and know that I will do my best to deliver on the promise of a fun session where the combination of our visions come to life.
I love using fabric for this reason. It really allows me to showcase a mother’s baby bump with varying colours and concepts coming together. In this example of Maria, who is gorgeous by the way and such a sweetheart, you can see that I was able to use the blue fabric in a way that can only be called canvas worthy. Who wouldn’t want an image of them looking like the goddess they are, carrying life within them using fabric that will compliment their surroundings.
In the next example you will see how I was able to take that same beautiful blue fabric and create a one of a kind maternity dress that showed off her amazing curves. Just look at how she is glowing. She exemplifies the glow of maternity and you can tell she is just in love with that little boy growing inside of her already. What a blessing it is to be pregnant and welcome a new baby into this wonderful world.
I’m happy we were able to create some beautiful imagery for this mom to look back at and say, “Yes, I truly did look like the goddess I felt like”.
